My research focuses on the treatment of acute ischemic stroke, with particular emphasis on time to treatment, imaging-based patient selection, and the implementation of evolving clinical guidelines.
I study how evidence from major clinical trials is translated into real-world practice, using nationwide registry data to examine temporal trends in treatment, associated functional outcomes, and inequalities in access to reperfusion therapies.
In parallel, I work with the prospective clinical study LATIES (Late Thrombolysis in Extended Time Window Using Imaging Selection), which investigates how advanced imaging can expand access to thrombolysis beyond conventional time windows.
By combining clinical and registry-based research, my work aims to contribute to optimizing treatment for stroke patients in the late time window.
