Research interests • My research attempts to bridge the gap and to establish new interconnections between several areas of geometric group theory, including p-adic Lie groups, locally compact groups, the theory of buildings and their associated representation theory and harmonic analysis. Some of my important results so far use genuine metric-geometric methods in order to provide pure and easy to describe geometric interpretations of otherwise very technical harmonic analytic properties of locally compact groups and their representation theory. Those new developed geometric methods can be applied to research problems in statistics and probability theory.
