Aarhus Academy for Global Education - New beginnings

This autumn 2011 marks the first semester of teaching at the Aarhus Academy for Global Education (AAGE) when on 1 November the international kindergarten and after-school program opened its doors.

The AAGE currently consists of an international kindergarten, an after-school program and in August 2012 will also include a primary school and Middle Years program for which it is still possible to sign up.

Although the AAGE will make a significant impact in the lives of international families in Denmark, Danish families can expect to benefit from the innovative teaching at Aarhus Academy. For example, the after-school program is not just for children enrolled at Aarhus Academy's schools, but also to children from other schools and children of stay-at-home mothers/fathers.

If you are interested in enrolling your children at the AAGE for yourself, but would like to see first-hand what the Academy's facilities will provide, the AAGE offers individual visits to the school and invites children to spend a day in the kindergarten/after school program free of charge.

AAGE strives to keep a constant environment for learning and does so through summer school programs, evening activities, and more. Apart from having an international focus, the AAGE is an attractive option for those interested in a child-centered and holistic learning environment that is well equipped to foster children's natural curiosity.

Update: UIC will be having an excursion to the international kindergarten for those interested in taking a small group tour of the facilities. Please refer to Calendar of Events in this newsletter or click here to be taken to the news article.
