Sarah van Mastrigt is a criminologist and applied social psychologist with a B.A. (Hon) in Psychology from the University of Calgary, Canada, and M.Phil and PhD degrees in Criminology from the Institute of Criminology, Cambridge University. Her primary research interests include the development and prevention of offending aross the life-course, restorative justice, sexual assault, and the social psychology of crime and punishment.
Sarah leads the Research Unit for Evidence-based Crime Prevention and Practice (RECaP) and is PI on a number of interdisciplinary projects carried out in collabroation with the police and other community organizations.
